Payment Options

At our dental office, we believe your overall oral health care is an invaluable investment that lasts a lifetime.  You shouldn't have to weigh insurance coverage or climb financial obstacles in order to obtain premium dental health care. It is to your advantage that you are able to reserve an appointment for service right away.  With all that said, below is a list of insurances that we accept, as well as the many types of payment options we offer to our patients.

Dental Insurance Information

We will be happy to work with you in obtaining the most insurance payment for the work done.  It must be remembered, though, that insurance is a contract between only the insurance company (or in some cases the employer) and the patient (or patient’s family member).  Dr. Beals is NOT a party to this contract.  We will gladly submit a claim to the insurance carrier and wait 30 days for payment of the insured amount.  The difference between the insurance payment and the total fee for the service is due at the time of the service.  If there are two insurance plans involved, we will submit to the secondary carrier after the primary payment has been received.  Lack of payment by the insurance carrier leaves the remainder of the bill as the responsibility of the patient.  Some insurance plans will only pay a dentist who signs an agreement with the insurance company for deeply discounted fees which only hurt the dentist, and subsequently the patient because of the need to cut corners in order not to lose money on the services provided.  (A luxury car dealer can’t sell new cars at the price of a Yugo and say in business!)  It is the patient’s responsibility to find out if their insurance is restricted to only paying PPO dentists, and if Dr. Beals has an agreement with that insurance company.  Some insurance companies will pay out-of-network dentists as much (or nearly as much) as in network dentists, depending on the county where the patient lives.  Check with your provider and feel free to discuss this with the receptionist.  Each company has dozens of different plans.

Payment Options

Payment is expected the day of services, except for payments expected from insurance companies.  We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and debit cards.  We also accept CareCredit for those patients who wish to make payments on larger amounts of services over $500.00.  CareCredit must be arranged for at least 2 business days before the services are rendered and cannot be used where insurance discounts are used.
